Tanya Burr | Triple Chocolate Cookies

Firstly I want to introduce you to what I am doing every Tuesday, I am going to be showing you a different recipe each Tuesday that I have made and loved. This week I am going to show you how to make some mouth-watering triple chocolate cookies! This recipe is from the Tanya Burr book and me and my friend Hannah (check out her amazing blog) attempted to make them on Saturday and the result was lovely!

To make 10 cookies you will need:
200g butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
A little bit of milk (optional)
A large bar of milk chocolate (Cadburys is what we used)
A large bar of white chocolate
A large bar of dark chocolate

Method:

Pre-heat your oven on to 200 degrees Celsius.
Cream together your butter and sugar until it is smooth.
Crack in the egg into your mixture.
Blend all of your ingredients together.
Add a little bit of milk if your mixture is looking to dry.
Break up all of your chocolate and put it into the mixture, using your hands to mix it into the dough
Line 2 trays with baking paper (add another baking tray if you feel the need to)
Pick up about 10 small handfuls of cookie dough and place them onto your trays (the cookies will spread a lot in the oven so don't put them to close together)
Put them in the oven for 11 minutes. When you get them out they will not look cooked but as they cool they will become harder - if you do leave them in the oven for to long once they have cooled they will be very hard.
Leave them to cool for roughly 30 minutes.
Now sit down and enjoy a delicious cookie!

These cookies taste absolutely amazing, I am definitely going to make more of these in the future. They are perfect for a birthday or treat for someone and they don't take much to make. If you need to you could easily make these gluten free by swapping the flour to gluten free flour.

What are your favourite things to bake?
